May 31, 2010 - This month brings a first major update to the Warder Yards, this being in the form of the new Information for Trainees page. Ji'dar Amayani do Ciresh a'Sorene has spent many hours on the new 3D graphics and these will be showing up in other places in the Yards forthwith. The next update will be to this very page, where the image-map will become revised a bit. I menioned previously in these annoucements that this update would happen first, but it happened to be the Info page that got the first overhaul.
A RP is being hosted on the Warder D2D board, named "Another Day in the Yards", and it is a free-for-all improvisation scenario where the Yards are frequented by Novices and others of the Channeling ranks. The RP is still open for anyone wishing to jump in, even though it has been winding down a bit lately.
The past month we saw both new and returning Trainees, namely:
Kubotai Subatsu
Jeigan Cair
Amelia Freintas
Slade Girflet
Furthermore, the Raising Season continues. Our new Ji'alantin now wearing the darker shade of grey is Jurgen Tarol. Moreover, after having just returned here, Kubotai Subatsu is now a Gaidin of the Yards.
With more updates, members and raisings to come, I wish you all a pleasant day (as pleasant a day can be here, that is). Back to your training...
The Freak and Reaper of the Yards
April 21, 2010 - As you might have seen, a few initial updates have been made to the Warder Yard message boards, with the largest update being the new Warder Officer Studies and the graphics at the top. With many more additions to the site to come, we thank Ji'dar Amayani for her dedication and artistic sense in making this extraordinary version of the old picture I drew many years ago. As mentioned, this is but one small part of a large project that is underway, and we look forward to see more of these additions to our site - and not just to the Warder Yards.
I have received little feedback since last about the other graphics of the Warder Yards. Nevertheless, I will endeavour to make updates as much as my time allows it, yet you aught to expect a new WY main page in short order.
The past month we had the privilege to see both new and returning Trainees, namely:
Xavier Cranwell
Seira
Cavander Faldron
Welcome (back) to the Warder Yards. I pray you know what you have gotten yourselves into...
Furthermore, a Raising Season seems to be blowing in, and we have the pleasure to announce that the following Trainees' uniforms have earned the darker shade of grey. Our new Ji'alantin and Ji'dar are:
Nesir Aeser
Corsedai Tiamicova
Jeremiah Fletcher
Vibyka Imorien
There is a lot going on in the background, and with the pending decisions of the Hall of Sitters, there might be a number of changes to announce next month. Until then, train hard, and prepare. The Last Battle is yet to come.
The Freak and Reaper of the Yards
March 26, 2010 - Given the early results of the voting in the Hall of Sitters, I would like to take the opportunity to greet the Yards as the new Master of Arms.
With our Master of Training, Jip Gaidin, who was voted to remain in his position, and Lysira 'Mouse' Viathene Gaidar voted as our new Gaidin Captain, we are only awaiting the approaching evaluation of candidates for the Warder-Channeler Represenative position before the In-Character Executive Council is once more complete. OOC, we will be more integrated into the Admin team than before, working alongside our Channelers in order to create a community where there is neither gap nor friction between us. There will be no territorial thinking, but merely the focus on the betterment of the site and the activities we all - Officers or not - contribute to the Grey Tower storyline.
Currently, belated Warder Yard site updates are underway, and you will be noticing gradual changes to the menus and the boards. Furthermore, you are all - Channeler or not - welcome to send your comments to the greytower1@yahoo.com email to suggest what you would like to see added or changed on these pages. Mark the email Attn: MoA, and I will reply as soon as I am able with feedback.
Until the Last Battle,
The Freak and Reaper of the Yards

Jip Gaidin, Master of Training and Kailitha d'ra Din Gaidar, Gaidin Captain
February 8, 2010 - A month has passed, but only in the last week or so has anything of merit happened. The Warder Yard Banquet, though an attempt to expand friendships and boost activity, did not go as well as planned, but fear not! We will prevail in this time of trial!
Once again, a Brother returns to us. All hail Sarkaska Jinlo, Gaidin! A Brother of Battle has joined us, and congratulations are in order. In similar news, Damon Thresher Gaidin has returned to us from the darkness. Welcome him with open arms.
Also, Foxill Madrim has survived the wilderness, and returns to us in the darker color of Ji'alantin. Gwyn Daesuro also returns to us, a Ji'dar from past days. Welcome and congratulate them fondly as you make your rounds this morning!
There have been no new Drin'far'ji this month, but it happens from time to time. If ever you see a new person in our halls, greet them and assist them all you can. Our ranks slowly, but surely, grow, and it is up to us to ensure they know what comes the next morning - lest you get to do it twice!
Dwillon Gaidin, Master of Arms
January 8, 2010 - A (very) belated New Year to the lot of you! I must personally apologize for the lateness of this news post, but with work taking hold of me and the rest of the time being spent updating the other pages of the Warder Yards, this one fell behind and was nearly lost. Never fear, however, as the updates are nearly finished! Soon the Yards will run as smoothly as they once did.
Since the last announcement, once again our illustrious Sojin Majere has survived the most difficult challenge yet, and returns to us a Brother. All hail Sojin Gaidin!
Also, Amelia Freintas and Sarkaska Jinlo have passed their week in the wilderness. Welcome them back to our embrace, Brothers and Sisters!
Our once thinning ranks are growing again. In the time that has passed, Erin Ayerrow from Two Rivers, Hay Keil from Tuatha'an, Jurgen Tarol from Gheldean, Cordell Amal from Tarabon, Jehra from the Three-fold Land, and Vibyka Imorien from Altara, have all arrived and signed the book to become Drin'far'ji. Welcome them, as they join you in the mud-pits of the obstacle course!
Welcome and congratulations, all! Now back to your training!
Dwillon Gaidin, Master of Arms
July 15, 2009 - We are slowly getting to the point where we are running smoothly again. The lull still exists, but it too abates as we go.
In the last month, the illustrious Sojin Majere has survived his week in the wilderness, and come back to us safely. He is now able to wear the darker greys of Ji'alantin. If you see him in the halls, be sure to congratulate him.
On that same note, please take a moment to welcome Foxill Madrim Drin'far'ji, who hails from Altara, as our newest addition to the Warder Yards. Be ready, Drin'far'ji, for we shall drag you through the mud and back, and you will loathe it, but in the end you shall thank us.
Lastly, I also wish to announce that once again we have a full Executive Council. Only two people applied, one for each open position, but they achieved this position on their willingness and ability moreso than by simple default. I present to you Jip Gaidin, our new Master of Training, and Zander Kilgas Asha'man, our new Warder/Channeler Representative. Both will fill these shoes well, and neither will hesitate if they find one of you slacking!
Dwillon Gaidin, Master of Arms
June 1, 2009 - A small time has passed between now and the last announcement, but much has happened between now and then. The lull is slowly abating, and activity is slowly growing, but we must be as diligent as we have been.
Our first anouncement is a sad one, but one we must face head-on. Our Master of Arms, Caden Ives Gaidin, has retired, as has our Warder-Channeler Representative, Storm Ananke Sedai. Their voices will be missed, as a piece of the Yards leaves with them. May the Light guide the two of you as you journey onward, and may your days be filled with happiness. Trainees, salute!
They have not left you leaderless, however. In his stead, I, Dwillon Gaidin, have been appointed Master of Arms. I assure you that my hands are very capable, as are the hands of the Master of Spies and Gaidin Captain, Garren and Damon Gaidin. We are ready to lead you all through this, and rest assured that we will make it through this trial safely and soon.
Next is a call to join the new MRP, Childhood's End, run by Amora Sedai. Though it has begun, you may still join at any time.
Lastly, when the current events finally settle, in the next week or so, nominations will be held for the now vacant positions of Master of Training and Warder-Channeler Representative. Those of you that wish to apply for these positions, plan accordingly, and the rest of you prepare your nominations. Keep an eye out on the WOOC for more info.
We come now, friends, to a new era. May it be as prosperous as the last.
Dwillon Gaidin, Master of Arms
April 20, 2009 - I open up by stating the obvious; the Yards are in a bit of a lull right now, but it is a common occurence this time of year so do not be alarmed by it. Eventually, things will pick up and activity will return to its normal level. The past couple of months, we have two new Drin'far'ji. Their names are Xavier Cranwell and Masato Oshiro, hailing from Andor and Shienar. These are only the first of a new generation of Trainees arriving to the Yards, so greet them well.
Next is a reminder for all Sovin Tar members to consider joining the first ST mission that the Master of Spies is hosting. Check the Sovin Tar boards for more information.
For last, the IC Awards Ceremony in the Hall of Sitters has been opened for the public, so please post at your own leisure. That is all for now, but I have a distinct feeling there is more to come.
The Freak and Reaper of the Yards
February 12, 2009 - I begin this announcement by mentioning the Justice Masque, which is a Big RP hosted by Storm Ananke Sedai and that is still open for joining. Remember though, if you arrive during the dinner, you will have to write that your character did arrive late. And what have I told you all about being punctual? *dreadful stare*
Soon, there will be a Master of Spies Introduction Ceremony held in the Gardens, for Garren Brighteyes has completed his training and thus ended his Assistantship. Now he will lead the Sovin Tar in earnest. Also, two separate Master of Training and Warder-Channeler Representative Ceremonies were held the past month, in introduction of Master Dwillon Gaidin and Storm Ananke Sedai.
Now, after no less than a good couple of years, we have a full Execuive Council.
I also take the opportunity to welcome Sojin Majere Drin'far'ji, Corsedai Tiamicova Drin'far'ji and Tanis de Namclais Drin'far'ji to the Warder Yards. Dwillon Gaidin will show you the ropes, and you may grow to loath him even though the training he will make you undergo is mandatory, and for your own good. The Last Battle waits for no one.
For last, many congratulations are extended to Sarkaska Jinlo, who passed the test for Ji'alantin and has now earned the darker shade of grey. (Upon his return from Shienar, he paid me a short visit in my study. Poor lad has never been himself since then...)
Courage is fear when it has said it's prayers,
The Freak and Reaper of the Yards
January 3, 2009 - We begin with announcing that the Introduction to Polearms Class was opened since last by Damon Gaidin. It can be found in the Class Listings along with all other resources for our training regime.
We have four new Warders in the Yards. They were all raised since the last announcement and their names are in chronological order:
Garren Brighteyes Gaidin
Kailitha d'ra Din Gaidar
Dwillon Gaidin
Damon Thresher Gaidin
An honorary fanfare also goes to Riahana Ferria, who was raised to Intermediate Rank - earning the title of Ji'dar. We have a lot of new faces in the Yards too, and the names of the ones wearing tha paler shade of grey are:
Acacia Eckhart Drin'far'ji
Notrym Cuen'cin Drin'far'ji
Kain Thresher Drin'far'ji
Amelia Freintas Drin'far'ji
Nesir Aeser Drin'far'ji
In recognition of our new Gaidin Captain, an Executive Council Induction Ceremony was held at the WD2D board, where official recognition was embodied in Damon Thresher Gaidin. He is now your Gaidin Captain and therefore the general of all unbonded Warders and Trainees in the happenstance of war. He is also your spokesperson in the Hall of Sitters. All matters pertaining the Advantage System and Joining Applications should be directed to him.
Also, Garren Brighteyes Gaidin has undertaken the duties as Assistant Master of Spies, and is currently training in order to fill the position in full capacity. All matters concerning the Sovin Tar and new missions for this paramilitary arm of the Tower should be placed on his desk. Since the Sevenfold Conflict, which is now Archived in the Library, the Sovin Tar has yet to undergo another trial. Will you be the first one to host a mission?
Sadly, the Alcair'dazar MRP could not be followed through due to inactivity and IRL reasons of the host, but there will be a collection of fanfics that will detail events following this storyline. Keep an eye out in the Library for it while you plot and execute your own adventures.
On behalf of the Executive Council I wish you all a Happy New Year we are looking forward to a new year together, filled with writing and joy.
The Freak & Reaper of the Yards
November 8, 2008 - The Citadel RP is drawing to a close, with only a post from Damon Thresher and yours truly lacking before it will be archived to the Library. To those who were willing to jump on this little story, thank you for a great time.
In short order after coming to us, Kubotai Sobatsu has been raised to Ji'alantin. He passed the test with flying colours and is already active in helping to improve the site. In spending a lot of time and research, and by going through an evaluation in the Council of Youth, he had made the new Sword Forms page become a reality. Thank you for all your efforts, Ji'alantin, and may your diligence be a shining example for the rest of the Yards.
We welcome Gillian Trema and Riahana Ferria to our midst. They are our two newest female Drin'far'ji and we look forward to read how they develop under the yoke of our training regime. All you male Trainees, if I catch you trying to say hello to them privately in the female wing of the barracks, I will make you wear their uniforms for a month... after I break your legs.
There is a new Major RP launched and hosted by Miahala Ives - who also plays Lysira "Mouse" Viathene Gaidar and Gareth Tomosan Asha'man. The MRP is named Alcair Dazar and the link can be found on the MMB as well as the Major RP page. There might be a link from the Warder OOC board soon too, just like with the SFC.
For last, and speaking of the Sevenfold Conflict, the last day to post was yesterday, and it is now officially finished. Once the archivation is completed (90% done), you will all be made aware.
Thank you for your time,
The Freak and Reaper of the Yards

The Council of Youth have fomulated a new Advantage, named Environmental Improvisation. This new Advantage can be found on the Advantage Information page.
The Sevenfold Conflict has come to an end, and the last posts are coming up as you read this announcement. If you have yet to post a closure for your character in this long story, feel free to pick a Chapter that feels appropriate. Thank you everyone who has helped this story to become complete, and word will come to you when it is later archived in the Library.
For last, we wish to announce that a long time gone Gaidar has returned to us. This wolfkin Sister of Battle is named Kira al'Haram, and it is a pleasure to have her back in our midst.

Our newest Drin'far'ji is named Orin and he hails from the Neder sept of the Shiande Aiel. He is played by our M'Hael Daimenin al'Donai - which makes this his third character in our community. Make sure to show him that not all wetlanders are as soft as he might think from his childhood stories. If you can't, then the Master of Arms will have to step in and break hi- *coughs* ..the news.
Currently, Rain Artanago Drin'far'ji and Jip Gaidin are on Shara, so make sure to contact others if you need prompt IC interraction for RRs/etc.

You will be seeing your fellow Trainee wearing a charcoal uniform with a black shield worn below the collar of his formal uniform, along with a name-engraved Honour Dagger and the Council of Youth ring. February 8, 2008 - During the move to the new host, the whole Grey Tower was awfully quiet. Yet now we are online again, and it is time to get back to the weapon racks. Before the move was initiated, Mouse Drin'far'ji was Raised to Ji'dar! And not only she, for this very day, another Ji'dar has been recognised in your midst! Additionally, Visela wrote a fanfic to gain her third Skill Point in Polearms. The fanfic can be found in the Warder Yard Library, under Fanfics and Threads. This is a good example you can follow if you feel creative and has your aim set on developing Skills or earning Advantages.
Subtle updates have been made to the Yards. Now, if you click the title image, you will be transfered back to the main page. That way, you can more easily navigate the site. Also, you will notice a new Officer at the top of the page - our Master of Spies, Lord Sigmund von Danzig. The FAQ page will be updated shortly with a description of what his role is in the Yards.
