Biography:

Lagon was born in Alandir in the east of Andor. He was the second child of Oran and Lein Darith. His older sister, Thera, was three years older than him but you couldn't see the difference. After two years, the twins, Uiye and Jaim where born. At the age of four, his parents opened a small tavern.

It was fun watching the people come in, get drunk and then see them dancing on the tables. But the fun really started when they would throw small rocks at the heads of the people who where drunk. And sometimes they threw rocks at Thera, who was old enough to help mom and dad. Uiye and Jaim caused a lot of trouble but they were too young to understand.

When he was six years old, all the girls of his age in the village were watching him. They were all smiling at him and he gave them a smile of his own. With his friends, he sometimes got lost in the forest but they always found their way back to the village.

At the age of eight, some people from far away came to their small town, his father said something about the Tuatha'an. They came and repaired some of his mother's kitchenware. Some of the townspeople said they hated the Tuatha'an because they kidnapped children. His mother hid them in the basement and told Thera only to come out when they said the coast was clear.

Lagon enjoyed fishing with his dad when he was nine. Everything was calm until he was ten. When he was ten his father taught him to ride on a horse and use a bow. For lack of other hobbies, Lagon practiced the bow a great deal. When he was twelve he could shoot a target from 100 paces away.

But in the summer, his father asked him if he would come with him to Caemlyn. There was nothing that could stop him, he always wanted to see a real city. And so the next morning they would ride to Caemlyn. He couldn't wait to see the great towers of the city, the roads and the taverns. And so, they were on their way, he was so happy.

But that happiness didn't last long…. On the third day, Lagon and his father came across a village, if you could still call it that. More than half of the houses were in rubble, the roofs of the remaining houses where burned down. But the most disgusting thing was that ten heads were impaled on spikes just outside the village.

When they got in to the town the villagers said that the Children of Light came through. They said that the ten heads outside were Darkfriends who were hiding in the village. Lagon was full of anger, full of something that he never felt before. He pictured the heads and the corpses on fire.

When he calmed down, he noticed that the villagers were looking behind him. When he turned around, he looked at a great fire, where the heads were. The next day, he and his father left the village and resumed there trip to Caemlyn. But he wasn't in the mood. He was very ill that night, but didn't know why.

After a week, he saw the walls of Caemlyn. The city was as huge as his father had said, even bigger. In the city, the crowd was looking at some small shops, sometimes people stopped and talked to each other. He enjoyed watching some weird people do tricks or tell tales. His father on the other hand didn't look to the people. He tried to increase the place so that they could get through.

Their visit was very short, after an hour of two they left the great, shining towers of Caemlyn. Ten days later they arrived in their small village. It wasn't quite the same because old Allodar died and the people where still in shock.

At the age of fourteen he mastered the bow and could beat any opponent who stood in his way. In the winter the Tuatha'an came back to there village. They came to buy some food and to drink some brandy in the tavern of his parents. Lagon would sit in the corner with his bow to prevent these guys to kidnap his younger brother and sister. With an arrow knocked, he waited until they had finished their brandy and expected them to leave.

But then they started talking to the twins. He needed to prevent them from taking Uiye and Jaim away. Lagon aimed with the bow and fired an arrow at the cup one of the Tuatha'an held. Uiye and Jaim snapped out of the dream of whatever those guys where telling them.Actually, the whole tavern was looking at him.

"Why did you do that?" said one of the Tuatha'an,

"We are only in search of the Song," said another.

"I will not let you take Uiye and Jaim away. We won't let you."

A third Tuatha'an asked: "Why would we do that, we where only telling them about our people and our life, a life without weapons or war."

The anger he felt 2 years ago came back. "Leave," said Lagon, "Leave."

"But we…" started one of the Tuatha'an.

"LEAVE" yelled Lagon. The anger in him exploded inside of him.

"Fire, there's fire outside," screamed a voice outside, "one of the wagons is on fire." Surprised, Lagon saw some flames through the window.

The people ran outside, to see if they could help somewhere. But the wagon was completely lost. That night, the Tuatha'an left the village. The next morning, Lagon received lots of compliments: "Thanks for getting rid of them" or "Thanks for scaring them away". But Lagon didn't pay attention to the villagers.

Was it he who started the fire? No, it couldn't be. But still, it happened when he grew angry. He needed to be careful. When he was fifteen, he wanted to go somewhere where he could help the people. So he would go to Caemlyn again, to join the army.

The captain was surprised about his skill with the bow. And so, he joined the army. His main job was to keep order in the city. Days passed, months and even a year, with only some trouble makers in the city.

But then… war. Some soldiers of Cairhien broke trough the defenses at the Erinin. So Lagon and 4999 other men were sent away to push them back across the river. It would take months to take all those men to the river but it was something he was looking for the whole time a war, a battle of life and death. It was spring when they left and it would be summer when they would arrive.

Under a cold wind Lagon arrived at the river. A pretty large camp was set up but it couldn't be more then 3000 men. He grinned and attacked. With a much larger force, they ran towards the camp. Even with an army much bigger, stronger and powerful, it wasn't easy to push them back.

But when the battle was over, the Cairhienin were not pushed back, they were all killed. Half of the army was left there, to prevent the Cairhien from coming back. And so they were back on their way to Caemlyn. Back in Caemlyn they were like heroes. But he didn't feel like one, because he found out what his anger was. It looked a lot like Channeling. That night he left Caemlyn. And so there he was, Lagon Darith, almost eighteen and on his way to the Mountains of Mist, to the Grey Tower, where he would learn to Channel.
