A Ter'angreal Test
written by Levitiko Matsumoto

Levitiko Matsumoto was tired, wondering what had happened that he needed to continue at something he was so undeniably bad at. His supervisor in the Channeling Yard had been having him practice with Water weaves, hoping to improve his strength with them. Levi was undeniably one of the worst in so far as using water was concerned. By the Light, half the Gaidin could probably channel water better than he.

But, after the practice session, the unruly looking Asha'man agreed to return the next day and supervise him while he tried to make a ter'angreal. He had taken Dedicated Jarid's class, after all, however the man had never told him if he had passed.

The next day, Levi walked into the channeling yard with a simple metal bracelette in one hand. "Thank you again, Asha'man, for supervising me."

The Asha'man merely nodded, then sat down nearby to watch.

Levi sat down putting the bracelette on the ground in front of him. He then reached for saidin, feeling the fire and ice roar through him as he easily fought and won the battle for control. Then, concentrating hard, he began.

First, he used a bit of Spirit, much like he would to make a voice amplifyer, but this time twisting it onto the bracelette and warping the threads into a much different pattern than for a voice. He had used such a pattern once before, which had spurned him to try this. He tied it to the bracelette, letting the first set of many sink into the metal. After the Spirit he added Air and Fire, making another weave nearly identical to the first, but stretching it across the opening in the bracelette. He tied it to the Spirit weave, then put more Spirit surrounding the air and fire. After wards, he took water, and put it in the center of the Spirit weaves.

Tying all of the weaves into the bracelette, Levi first let go of saidin, making sure they would remain in the object. It no longer resembeled metal, but had taken on a clear, with blue laced through. The weaves remained in place, and Levi looked at the Asha'man for permission.

"Go ahead, boy. Feel free to try. I couldn't have made it better myself."

Levi slipped on the bracelette, then grabbed saidin. He cautiously began to do the excercises from the day before, weaving water. The bracelette immediately changed, seeming to have waves racing along inside it. It amplified his abilities, making it mush easier for him to use water.

"Much better, boy, but with this blessing does not come control. You will meet me here tomorrow, with that thing you made, and we will learn control."
