STATEMENT ON THE ROLE OF THE AJAHS IN TOWER UNITY Often times people wonder about what the role of the Ajahs is in the Tower. Some people feel that Ajahs are pitted against each other, or are vying for power. Some people even think that the Ajahs are restrictive, limited sublevels of the Tower. These perceptions are very wrong. The Ajahs of the Grey Tower fulfil a special and essential role in the Tower. They are diversified, in that each have seperate roles to fulfil. Each Ajah must be responsible to fulfil it's role in the Tower, whether it be to take care of politics, or to uphold logic, or to heal the sick, or to research the Talents, or to negotiate between two sides, or whatever their role may be. At the same time, however the Ajahs must show a strong front of unity. The Ajahs stand together with one purpouse, one goal and with equal support for each of the parts that make up the Grey Tower. Although one Ajah maybe larger, or of greater power for a limited time in the Tower, they are all extremely important, and they are all intersupported in the Tower. Every Aes Sedai and Asha'man is responsible to see that the Ajahs are fullfilling their purpouses and are working together in unity. When one Ajah is doing well it helps all the others to prosper. When one Ajah is failing, it is a hinderance to the others. All of the Affairs of the Ajahs are inter-related. We are like one large puzzle where each peice is interlocking and essential. All of us must strive to our very fullest to maintain the honour and unity that rests amoung the Ajahs. One Ajah is never "better" than another, and one is never "against" another. We are all brothers and sisters in the Grey Tower.We are all allies in the same cause. Our strength lies in our unity. May it always be so! |
