Welcome to the offices of the Master of Soldiers and the Mistress of Novices. The two studies are side by side, an adjoining door linking them; both are on the ground floor of the Great Serpent building, just to the south of the Grey Tower itself. These are peaceful rooms if one is invited cordially, but woe unto those who are sent here for punishment! Unruly novices and soldiers enter with wary step and heavy heart, and even well-behaved students tread carefully here.
