People often see the admin team - those who run the Tower - as a little group unto themselves, sometimes separated from the rest of the Tower. So we thought we'd make a page to let you know a bit about ourselves, so you can see just who you're dealing with when you're writing to greytower1@yahoo.com ;)

The Amyrlin Seat

"Age" of the player: I am considered "Ancient" because I was one of the founding Aes Sedai/Asha'man of the Old GT in June of 1998, but I was only 17 at the time if you can believe it.  Whatever age I say I am now will become outdated, so I'll just state that I was born July 1st 1981.
"Age" of the characters: Amora: over 190, Saphire: over 150, Liana: over 50, her children - Ellisande: 15, Avaritia: 9, Larrold and Svebere: 5.
Main Occupations: Graduate art student and freelance illustrator.
Adores: My husband, who used to play Sigmund von Danzig Gaidin here (Mr. Bond in real life). I also love intelligent, quirky, and compassionate people; movies, long-form TV, and epic video games; chocolate, mangos, and bacon; Renaissance and classical history, literature, and a quirky sense of humor.
Hates: When people are dishonest, not constructive, or intolerant; smoking (I'm allergic); tailgaters and others who push my boundaries; and clutter.
Other stuff: I LOVE plotting! I am 'vertically challenged', worry too much, and rant when properly cued. I thump "Ye Olde Mug of the Ancients" for emphasis when making a point and also make amusing sound effects.
Story:I got into WoT when I was 16 and joined the Netland White Tower as an aspirant of the Blue Ajah (Amora), where Toby (Keyeren) advertised the founding of the Grey Tower. A friend (then Jel'viendha, later Alondra) and I migrated over with Jaisen Davram and began the Green and Blue Ajahs. Nevlyn promoted me to Mistress of the Novices and Soldiers and from there I created the first versions of the raising requirements, raising tests, and Blue Hall. School became all-consuming so I didn't turn back to the GT during the Breaking until some months later when I played Saphire (Amora's daughter) entering the Tower as a novice. At that time one could only have a single character, and PSCs hadn’t been invented yet, and I wanted to try out going through the raising process I’d created and build a new character.

That was about when I introduced Atreus/Sigmund to the Tower, and when we were raised, we resurrected the Warder Yard and I was promoted (as Saphire) to Sitter of the Green Ajah and Warder-Channeler Representative. Later I founded the Privy Council, Warders' Eyes and Ears Report, Warder Q and A, and the Bondables. I switched to playing Amora primarily and was raised to Keeper of the Chronicles with her. It was during the same time that Liana was born, but the Indigo Ajah needed her, so I sprinkled some miracle grow on her and she turned from 4 to 14 overnight. Amora was raised as the ninth Amyrlin Seat. She held that office for about fifty years but stepped down and went into semi-retirement when Sigmund rode off into the Blight. She returned to the Tower about two IC years ago with her whole family and was fairly quickly asked to serve as First Seeker again (Saphire and Liana returned to the Hall of Sitters), and then when the last Amyrlin vanished she was raised as the thirteenth Amyrlin Seat - the first to ever be raised twice.

My favorite books are, of course, the Wheel of Time, but they are VERY closely followed by the Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. Those two books are downright amazing. I highly recommend them to any WoT fan.

I also play a ton of videogames. Favorites: Dead Space, Elder Scrolls 5: Skryim, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Fear 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2, Halo: Reach. There are, of course, more, but I won't list all 36 of my favorite games.

I also play drums and prefer classic rock over modern music.
Story: I found the Grey Tower when I googled, oddly, Aiel Spear a while back in an attempt to visualize the spears used by the Aiel. I found the Warder Yards, then found my way to the main page, and sent in my application with Landrin. I have kept fairly active over the years, and plan to stick with the tower as long as I am able.
