Zurie Rania![]() Posted on: Mar 24, 2010 09:01:30 |
Bi-colored orbs were wide as she entered the class room her feathery companion close behind her not obeying her order to stay outside. Like he ever did. She sighed deeply. Hopefully the instructor wouldn't mind to much. Zurie really didn't want to get in trouble. Not on her first day in class and certainly not for Sir Quack who refused to leave his saviors side. "Go outside!" She hissed pushing the feathered rump and earning herself a harsh peck to her fingers. "Ouch! Why you little ..." But she stopped short realizing class was starting and with a quick push she had the duck underneath her chair sitting contently as though hacking a set of eggs that didn't exist and never would for the male. Zurie listened well. She was smart ... well book smart. She learned quick and she generally committed most things to memory in a short span of time. Everything the instructor said sunk in and was absorbed. But while Zurie had the brain power to think about the practice ... actually doing it was another story. "A breeze ..." She whispered gently to herself as though the very thought would push her forward and make her better. Her ability rested on that one word and her hope was that ... with any luck ... She would do it the first try. But Zurie wasn't one for luck. Control was something Zurie lacked and it seemed thats what this lesson rested on. She gulped and in her mind she began to practice her control. She repeated the word over and over again in her mind feeling herself calm and relax as she did. As her feather reached her she looked at it as though sizing up an enemy. A tough enemy. "This will take all my wits Sir Quack!" She said looking down at him. His black eyes glanced up at her before closing them again and falling asleep. Maybe they didn't notice her little friend. Wasn't like he would obey her and stay outside though. Now there was a problem with feathers. They weren't one to obey. Even when the wind blew them what happened? They went everywhere! And their instructor had said it took control? It would take alot more than that. Thinking about a nice cool breeze she closed her eyes relaxing. Ahh control. But ... maybe she relaxed to much. With a cry she opened her eyes and was shocked to find the feather dart up and poke her in her one green eye. She closed it muttering an "Ouch!" while her blue eye gazed out sadly. "Thats just not fair!" SHe exclaimed quite angry more at the feather than herself. "You ... stupid feather ..." She rubbed the moisture from her eye. "Ugh ... I'm not good with the control ..." The problem with feather was ... They were mean! |
