Jun 22, 2010 09:56:48 		Menna looked guiltily at the Aes Sedai, then dropped her gaze.

"A trinket, Aes Sedai."

In her hand the woman held a silver medallion, a falcon with two red rubies for eyes on a silver chain. It was delicately carved, the whole thing could be hidden in a fist, and looked extremely valuable.

"I can explain, Aes Sedai. I was . . ." Menna trailed off. She couldn't think of a plausible story.

"I was, er, just going to show it to a friend?" Menna glanced at the Aes Sedai, knowing she didn't sound very convincing.

Pulling herself together, she stood up straighter and smiled confidently.

"Actually, it's a interesting story, Aes Sedai. You see - " Suddenly Menna snatched the falcon and whirled around. The next tapestry covered one of the many servant's ramps that ran throughout the Tower and Menna sprinted towards it.
