Welcome to One Power Basics. This is where you will learn some fundamental weaves with each of the five Powers - the bare bones of channeling. These will be one-on-one lessons, written specificly to meet your needs while teaching you.
The class is supervised by the Mistress of Novices and Master of Soldiers.
The teachers, usually one Accepted and one Dedicated, are chosen on a rotational basis. Contact Elyscia Mordel Sedai or Tukal Faetrarken Asha'man if you are interested in helping teach this class.
To join the class, please post a message in which your character arrives in the private classroom, beginning a new thread. Good quality of roleplay is expected, as are posts of decent length. 200 words is the absolute minimum that will be accepted.
Once a student has completed the class, their teacher will send him/her a certificate, so that it can be used as a raising requirement.
That said, this class is meant to be enjoyable - I hope you have fun! If you have any questions, feel free to email the Mistress of Novices or Master of Soldiers

Devon’s early morning exploration of the Tower had left him with a serious hunger. He made his way to the kitchens, a floor up from the inner walk he had been walking around. As he ate his porridge and raisins, he found himself contemplating what he had seen in each of the Ajah’s different gardens. Since coming to the Tower, he had finally learned what the word Ajah meant, and what duties the different societies within the tower performed. However, knowing what duties they were supposed to perform, and how they performed those duties, differed depending on the Ajah.
This was of course all extrapolation based on his walks around each of the gardens, but still, something about it pulled at him. It seemed that over the course of the thousands of years since the breaking, the Ajah’s had become settled in their tasks. It was a bothersome concept, and one to think about for later. The bell calling early was already an hour and a half past, he would have to rush to the private room where his class was today.
He had been told that he would finally begin to learn how to touch the One Power today, a basic class he was sure, but one that made him forget his troubling thoughts over porridge and focus on getting to class on time. He made his way up the seven more flights of stairs and found himself face to face with an unexceptional brown wooden door. He knew it was just about time for his class to start, so he calmed his breathing, smoothed his black outfit, and slowly opened the door and stepped in.
The classroom was small, with only two chairs and one desk. The classroom was also empty. So, in the only true Cairhien way, he sat down and began to figure out exactly what it meant for his teacher to not be there before him. Anything was better than pondering the Ajahs…
