One Power Basics

Welcome to One Power Basics. This is where you will learn some fundamental weaves with each of the five Powers - the bare bones of channeling. These will be one-on-one lessons, written specificly to meet your needs while teaching you.

The class is supervised by the Mistress of Novices and Master of Soldiers.

The teachers, usually one Accepted and one Dedicated, are chosen on a rotational basis. Contact Elyscia Mordel Sedai or Tukal Faetrarken Asha'man if you are interested in helping teach this class.

To join the class, please post a message in which your character arrives in the private classroom, beginning a new thread. Good quality of roleplay is expected, as are posts of decent length. 200 words is the absolute minimum that will be accepted.

Once a student has completed the class, their teacher will send him/her a certificate, so that it can be used as a raising requirement.

Ansalam nodded. It seemed he had a pretty good understanding of the one power. Always good. He'd even been tested, and might have an idea of how to grasp saidin. He was quite well versed, and that made Ansalam happy. The more they know, the easier it was to teach.

"Very good, Devon." He said, looking around the room for a book, but not seeing it. Must have been taken out of the room. "You have a good basic understanding of the theory behind the one power. You know about the two halves, and you know that each half works together but in opposite ways to turn the wheel of time. Very good."

Ansalam smiled. "Lets move onto grasping Saidin. You already have heard about the flame in the void, it sounds like, but I'll go over it again. You'll need to imagine a flame, and into that small flame I want you to feed all your emotions, thoughts and desires into the flame. Then once you have attained the void, I want you to feed yourself into the fire. Beyond the flame is Saidin."

Ansalam sat back and watched as Devon attempted the exercise.
