The entire Grey Tower, from the Amyrlin Seat down to the scullery maids, have been granted a free day to celebrate Sunday. Hama Valon is hosting a traditional Two Rivers observance of the holiday with various competitions, feasting, and merriment, and a traveling show has set up camp just outside the city walls in hopes that the revelers will be free with their coin.
Students are reminded that even though it is a free day, they are expected to adhere to all rules, particularly those regarding proper conduct, and to tidy up after themselves lest they find their usual chores doubled on the morrow. Novices, Soldiers, and drin'far'ji may attend the celebration, in uniform, but may not stray into the city, enter the traveling show without permission, or otherwise evade supervision.
Thoia walked onto the Sunday grounds, looking quite lovely in a red sundress of silks and translucent material. One of the few dresses she had brought with her from her home. Rarely did she even get to come out to these things out of uniform, and she was relishing the opportunity. True, the dress wasn't the best for combat, but she certainly didn't expect to find any of that here.
As she walked onto the grounds, her smile seemed to fade slightly. She wished that Yani had talked to her before hand, and made arrangements to meet up, but that just wasn't in the cards, it seemed. Oh well. She scanned the crowd looking for someone, anyone, she knew. She could go and do things on her own, she knew that, but it was always more fun with others. She grimaced as her eyes passed over a few people she didn't like, like those bloody twins who liked Nesir. She wondered if that woolheaded trolloc would attempt to attend, or if his face was still bruised.
Finally, she spotted a black suited man she recognized. Jacovian was talking to someone else. Oh well, at least she could approach and say hello, right? So, she started to walk over.
"Hey Jac!" she called over the few people between them. He looked over as did the person he was talking to. Thoia's eyes bulged for a second, then returned to normal. It was that depressed girl from the yards, Seira. She tried to ignore it, and instead approached Jac.
