Sunday Celebrations

The entire Grey Tower, from the Amyrlin Seat down to the scullery maids, have been granted a free day to celebrate Sunday. Hama Valon is hosting a traditional Two Rivers observance of the holiday with various competitions, feasting, and merriment, and a traveling show has set up camp just outside the city walls in hopes that the revelers will be free with their coin.

Students are reminded that even though it is a free day, they are expected to adhere to all rules, particularly those regarding proper conduct, and to tidy up after themselves lest they find their usual chores doubled on the morrow. Novices, Soldiers, and drin'far'ji may attend the celebration, in uniform, but may not stray into the city, enter the traveling show without permission, or otherwise evade supervision.

Thoia was actually quite happy that he wanted her to be there, and Seira had said it was ok. She seemed fine, all things considered, but not very enthusiastic. Did Jac not notice Seira? She was pretty, and she probably was much happier these days. She did look happy before Thoia arrived. Now she was... different? But, she wasn't sad, or morose, or complaining about having no friends, which is a start.

She realized that Jac was holding her hand at about this point, and she gently took her hand back. "Well, ok then. Lets go to the archery range so I can get my name put down." She smiled and started to walk with purpose toward the archery range.

More and more people were starting to enter the grounds, and Thoia was quite happy to see people having fun around them. She wondered if Seira was ok around crowds. "Jac, you should enter the pie eating contest. I'm sure you could do well." Thoia jokingly punched him in the arm, and kept walking. "I'm sure there's something you could do too Seira," she said, again almost as an after thought.

"Now, where is that archery sign up..." she trailed off, scanning the grounds.
