If there was one lesson this class had provided, was that caution should be maintained at all times. In this case, the Soldier had played with fire and found himself burnt. Only, Jerid had not been so lenient when he had heard. The Indigo who had been on duty had faced Jerid’s wrath for not keeping a better watch on his students’ progress and safety. And the man was less likely to escape from Aric’s own wrath. But now as Deaman stood presenting his notes and conclusion, a calm stony expression remained on Jerid’s face. His gold-green eyes scanned the parchment before looking up. “Tell me, Soldier, what was the most important conclusion you came to regarding your observations? Especially when such an item has been catalogued as unknown?” He waited, patiently, for the Soldier’s response. |
