The class gathered even more quickly today, Garren was growing quite proud of himself. He sat down as they approached and many, who had taken his advice and brought pillows or cushions, did the same. Whisper approached one of the students he had recently gotten to know and laid beside them happily.

“Good day students.” He greeted warmly. “Today we will be discussing the ability that some of the wolfkin have. This is the ability to enter Tel'aran'rhiod through what is known as the ‘wolf dream’.”

He gestured to Whisper, who looked up at him curiously. “Many of the wolfkin have one specific wolf that befriends them more than the others. Some refer to this as their guide. On the few occasions that I have entered the wolf dream, Whisper had always been there with me. Though he is only half wolven he is able to navigate the wolf dream better than I. “

He grinned a bit rueful seeing the superior look on Whisper’s face. “To a wolf, the ability to enter the wolf dream seems to be a given. They are neither disorientated nor confused when they find themselves there. It is as much a part of the wolf’s life as eating and breathing.”

“However, to the wolfkin it can be a very disorientating experience. To interact at all within the wolf dream without making your heard spin requires strict concentration and attention. If you let your mind wonder you can find your self in odd places.” He remembered how he first met Vergil Brighteyes. “Or even wearing or holding odd things, or nothing at all.” He smiled as the class laughed, and even Whisper panted happily though he didn’t know what was funny.

“Now, as far as anyone can tell, to the wolves the wolf dream is a place where the spirits of the wolf come to rest afterlife. Many wolfkin have reported seeing wolves they thought dead, or wolves that they know are dead. They have approached the wolfkin in questions and in many cases have given them advice on their life. To the wolves and wolfkin the Wolf Dream is a place of knowledge and experience, a place to go when they need help or need a place that they can think freely without distraction.”

“At times, the Wolf Dream can even be used to reach those that are not close to you, a way to reach out and communicate with another wolf of wolfkin when needed. However, this is not an easy thing to do. The meeting would have to be arranged before going in and finding the other would take strict concentration. “

As usual he glanced up at the sky, verifying that the class time was coming to a close. “Alright, today’s assignment. Considering some of the pit falls to entering the wolf dreams, what are some ways that a wolfkin could use the ability to enter it to their advantage?”
