In preparation for the Final Battle, Tarmon Gai'don, when the forces of good and evil will fully and finally come face to face, both Asha'man and Aes Sedai, with their warders by their sides, have banded together in the Grey Tower to prepare and to fight the Shadow where ever it may be found in the here and now...

The Grey Tower is large and well-established play-by-post Message Board Role-Playing Game (RPG), and online community, based on "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan. Our timeline is current with the events of the books and our environment is one where Aes Sedai, Asha'man, Gaidin and Gaidar all work together to fight the Shadow and prepare for the final battle.

Will you heed the call?

Well it's been a very quiet summer this year around the tower. Everyone seems to be off on summer vacations and what not, but there has still been some activity!

First we welcomed back Jenna al'Majere Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, who it transpires was not as dead as everything had thought.

In raisings we had Seira join the ranks of Ji'dar and Norin Maddix join the ranks of Dedicated, congratulations to you both!

It was a busy month for novices! We welcomed four new novices to the tower, Myrellervarria Faisaldra, Nira CarvellAngelique al'Chan, and Zulaya din Nicander.

The Sunday Celebrations are underway, and you can sign up now for the Summer Wargames.  You can contact Elyscia Sedai and Jip Gaidin if you need more info on these exciting events, but both are open to all characters, so go sign up!

Our Keeper of the Archives, Jerid Walker, is stepping down soon.  We wish him luck with his summer job and university in the fall, but meanwhile, we need a new Keeper!  Nominations are currently open on the Hall of Sitters board; the position is open to any player in good standing with an active Asha'man PC.  See the election post for the KoA's list of duties.

And finally, we bid farewell this week to James, who has played Deek/Caneo and Neclon, and who has been a Sitter for the Brown Ajah, the First Scholar, and the Master of Soldiers.  We wish you well, James, and hope you'll come back someday.

Everyone congratulate Jacovian Messair this week for passing through the arches and emerging as one of the Dedicated.  And lots of love to Tukal and Amairwyn, the latter of whom has bonded the former this week! ♥ ♥ ♥

The Warder Yards have been busy this week; everyone welcome new drin'far'ji Brin Delson and returning ji'dar Riahana Ferria!

Congratulations, as well, to all of our members who are graduating this spring, Elyscia Mordel and Cian Bravere among them, and probably others.  Well done, all of you, and a big sigh of relief for all those who've at least finished for the summer.

Sunday Celebrations are off to a slow start, but maybe we can pick things up this week.  I've got my eye on the archery competition, with Bowmistress Storm competing against a couple of trainees--this should be good!

Have I said too much?  There's nothing more I can think of to say to you....

No news is good news, right?  Let's hope so, since that's pretty well the case for the past week!  Many of us have had long weekends this week or last, so perhaps we were all off enjoying or cursing the weather.

We do have one piece of upcoming news, though: Sunday Celebrations begin this week.  You can start signing up on Wednesday, June 2nd, and we'll start playing on Saturday, June 5th.  If you have any questions, they are best directed to the host of our show, Elyscia Sedai, but of course any of our officers will be happy to their best to help you.

It's been pretty quiet this week, but we still have some very happy announcements.

First of all, we have a new drin'far'ji this week; everyone give a warm welcome to Slade Girflet!

Next up, we've had a raising. Kubotai Subatsu has earned the right to wear the fancloak, and deserves a huge round of applause and a full compliment of back-patting. Congratulations, Kubotai Gaidin!

And finally, congratulations to our dear Warder-Channeler Representative. Storm Sedai was married this week--in real life--and we wish every happiness for her and Husband for many years to come. ♥ ♥ ♥
