For the last year or so the Grey Tower has been hosted on its own website, as we felt this was the best way of avoiding adverts, having enough space for all our artwork, and so on. Unfortunately, this does come at a small cost. For this reason we have made it possible for members to make donations to help pay our way.
I cannot stress enough that these donations are 100% optional. We certainly do not expect members to contribute, and we do not even ask them to. There are no pages listing 'thank you's to members who have donated because we do not want those who cannot or do not want to donate money to feel alienated.
If you do want to make a contribution, we - the admin team - will be extremely grateful, but the last thing we want is for people to feel pressured into it.
If you are considering making a donation, you'll probably want to know just how much it is we have to pay. It isn't a massive amount - we're currently paying £5.71 per calendar month. As of now (April 2006), that's approximately $11 US, 8 euros, $14 Australian.
