A Big Roleplay is a particular roleplay idea, story, or situation which is played out entirely on its own board. It is more than just one thread, involves many members of the Tower, and usually lasts between two and six weeks. A Major Roleplay is the same thing on a grander scale, often taking two months or even longer to play out completely.

When you have a roleplay situation or story that is too large or complex to play out on the Day to Day, or other regular board, you should consider creating a Major roleplay, and if you are tired of day-to-day roleplaying and want something more violent, exciting and open, you should consider participating in a Major RP. You might find it helpful to read the Library's roleplay guidelines section before you begin.

To create a major roleplay you must write an email to the Amyrlin & M'Hael. (Note that if you wish to use the Major roleplay you have created as a Raising Requirement, you should also check with the Master of Soldiers, Mistress of Novices, or Master of Training as appropriate.) You must include the name of the roleplay, the names and emails of those hosting the roleplay, a short description, and a brief outline of the plot. These officers will work with you to make sure the roleplay is suitable; once it is approved, the information you submitted will be passed to the Mistress of Revels, who will work with you to find a place for it in the schedule and create a message board for it. When it is almost time for your roleplay to begin, the Mistress of Revels will announce the beginning of sign-ups.

When the roleplay begins, you will be responsible for periodically posting sections of central plot to keep the story moving and maintain player interest. It can also be helpful to post reminders on the Main OOC board when each new section of the roleplay begins and when the end of the roleplay is nearing.

When the roleplay is over, the Mistress of Revels will remove the link to your board, assist you in awarding participants, and offer assistance in archiving the roleplay for the Library.
